PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Full-Time, Hybrid (remote+office)

Full-time hybrid position for a Payroll Specialist at LightFire Partners Caribbean, LTD, which has offices in Montego Bay and Kingston.

Position Description

​This is a full-time hybrid position for a Payroll Specialist at LightFire Partners Caribbean, LTD, which has offices in Montego Bay and Kingston. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for payroll administration, managing garnishments, handling payroll services, ensuring compliance with payroll taxes utilizing our third-party tax firm, and overseeing payroll processing. The position will report to the Accounting Manager and Chief Operations Officer, based in the U.S.

Qualifications:

  • Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing skills

  • Experience in managing garnishments and payroll services

  • Knowledge of Payroll Taxes

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing

  • Experience in using payroll software and systems including BIZPAY

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and remotely

  • Certifications in Payroll Administration or related field are a plus

  • Experience in working with large scale employer environment with work-from home employees, contractors, and in-office personnel

 

 

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Experience with Google Applications (Sheets, Docs, Google Meet, Google Chat)

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.

  • Proficiency in payroll software (experience with systems like BizPay, ADP, Paychex, or Workday is a plus).
