Standing With Our Jamaica-Based Team After Hurricane Melissa
Over the past two weeks, we’ve watched our LightFire family in Montego Bay face unimaginable challenges as Hurricane Melissa tore through the region. Many of our team members have lost homes, belongings, and stability — yet their spirit, resilience, and commitment to each other have been nothing short of inspiring.
Even through the storm’s aftermath, our Jamaica operations in Kingston have remained open, continuing to serve our U.S. home improvement clients with professionalism and heart. Some employees in Montego Bay are operating remotely despite the hardships around them. That says everything about the people who make LightFire what it is.
Since the storm, many clients, partners, and friends have reached out asking how they can help. In response, we’ve created the LightFire Emergency Relief Fund — an internal initiative focused on providing direct support to our employees and their families impacted by the hurricane. This internal team is already helping with essentials like food, temporary housing, and transportation so our people can recover and rebuild. People are always first.

LightFire is pleased to partner with The Mara and Arthur Benjamin Foundation,
a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by our company Chairman of the Board, Arthur Benjamin. For over 2 decades, the Foundation has underwritten a variety of global humanitarian efforts, and is focusing its current efforts entirely on hurricane relief in Jamaica.
100% of donations are tax deductible and will support Hurricane Melissa relief efforts.
